Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about how Solvenq works, credits and billing, and where your data comes from. Can’t find what you need? Email support — a human will help.
- What is Solvenq?
- Solvenq is a continuous competitive-intelligence platform. You run one Sweep on a rival and Solvenq learns your market, produces a cited Dossier, ranks the notable moves, and keeps watching for what changes next — so you find out first instead of stumbling on it later.
- What is a Sweep?
- A Sweep is a single research run on a competitor or market. Solvenq gathers public signals, traces each finding back to its source, and assembles them into a Dossier you can read, share, or export. From there Radar keeps checking your rivals so the Dossier stays current.
- How is Solvenq different from asking ChatGPT?
- A chat answer is a starting point you still have to verify. Solvenq researches the live web and shows its work: it confirms the entity before it runs, cites every finding to a named source, archives each source the moment it's captured so the receipt doesn't rot, and labels the confidence of each finding. When someone asks "says who?", you hand them the source.
- How accurate are the findings?
- Every finding is traced to its source, and sources are archived at capture time — so you can open the page exactly as it looked when the claim was made, even months later. Solvenq confirms it's researching the right entity before a run starts, and when it's less sure about a finding, it says so on the page: confidence is labeled per finding rather than presented as certainty.
- How do credits work?
- Credits are Solvenq's unified metering unit. Every Sweep costs 1 credit, and your plan grants a monthly credit allowance. You can see your remaining balance and a full history of grants, debits, refunds, and pack purchases in your workspace. When you need more, credit packs are available on top of your plan.
- Is there a free plan?
- Yes. Start free with an Exposure Audit — see your own business the way a rival would, no card required — plus a free monthly Radar check on one named rival. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial and add more monthly credits, more rivals on Radar, team seats, and higher limits.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes. Every paid plan — Starter, Pro, and Team — starts with a 14-day free trial on your first subscription, no card required. If you don't add a payment method before the trial ends, the trial simply expires and your account returns to the free plan; nothing is charged.
- Where does Solvenq's information come from?
- Solvenq works from public sources — competitor websites, pricing and product pages, public filings, news, and similar. Every finding in a Dossier is traced to the source it came from, so you can verify each claim rather than take it on faith. Solvenq does not collect person-level or private contact data.
- Is my data private?
- Yes. The business profile and numbers you share are used to benchmark findings against your business — we do not sell your personal information, and your account and business data are never used to train third-party models. Solvenq researches companies from public sources and does not collect person-level or private contact data. The privacy policy has the full details.
- How does monitoring work after a Sweep?
- Radar keeps checking your rivals after the initial Sweep. When Solvenq detects a material change — a pricing update, a new campaign, a product move — it flags it in your workspace and can alert you by email or a connected channel, with the change marked inline and sourced.
- Can I use Solvenq with my team?
- Yes. Team plans include additional seats so teammates share the same Sweeps, Dossiers, rivals on Radar, and evidence. You can invite teammates and manage seats from the Team section of your workspace; extra seats can be added as your team grows.
- How do I cancel or change my plan?
- You manage your subscription from your workspace — the plan card opens Stripe's billing portal, where you can upgrade, downgrade, update payment details, or cancel. If you cancel, you keep your plan and any remaining monthly credits through the end of the period you've already paid for, and credit packs you purchased stay yours.
- How do I get help or contact support?
- Use the Email support link at the top of this page or the Contact link in the footer, and a human will get back to you. That's the single support inbox — questions, billing issues, and feedback all reach the same place, and replies to any Solvenq email land there too.
